One of our most popular taco recipes. It’s quick and easy, and the taste and texture of this Carne Asada is sure to win over the whole family.
  • 2 lbs skirt steak
  • 1/2 cup chili sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 lime
  • Tortillas / Taco shells
  • 2 avocados, chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 head of lettuce, chopped
  • 2 cups of sharp cheddar cheese, grated
  1. In a small bowl, add the chili sauce, cumin, onion powder, minced garlic, and salt. Squeeze the lime into the bowl and mix well.
  2. Coat the steak and let it marinate for 1 hour in the refrigerator.
  3. Cook the steak in a large pan on medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes on each side.
  4. When the steak is cooked medium, place it on a cutting board for a few minutes.
  5. Cut the steak against the grain into small strips.
  6. Serve in warm tortillas/taco shells with desired amounts of avocado, tomatoes, lettuce, sour cream and cheese.
  7. Enjoy!!

For an even more flavorful carne asada, try adding some Worcestershire sauce into the marinade mixture
