This tasty, 7 layer taco dip recipe is delicious and easy to make. It's one of the best taco dip recipes around, and it's the perfect appetizer for game day or any party. The perfect appetizer for game day or any party. A taco dip that’s simple, filling, and your guests will never forget.
Ingredients
  • 1 can refried beans
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1 lime
  • 2 avocados, cubed
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 1/2 head of lettuce, chopped
  • 1/2 cup green onion, sliced
  • 1 can black olives, sliced
  • 1 cup of Velveeta cheese, cubed
  • 1 jar of salsa
  • Tobasco sauce
  • Tortilla chips
Instructions
  1. Add the refried beans to the bottom of a 13X9 glass baking pan. Spread evenly.
  2. Mash the cubed avocados until smooth.
  3. Squeeze ½ of the lime in with the mashed avocados.
  4. Add to the pan and spread evenly.
  5. Mix the chili powder, cumin, coriander, oregano, cayenne pepper and salt well.
  6. Mix spice mixture with the sour cream. Add Tobasco sauce as desired.
  7. Add to the pan and spread evenly
  8. Add lettuce and spread evenly
  9. Mix the cubed cheese and salsa, and microwave for 1-2 minutes, until melted. Mix well and add to the pan and spread evenly.
  10. Add the onions and spread evenly
  11. Add the olives and spread evenly
  12. Squeeze the other half of the lime over the olives.
  13. Serve with Tortilla chips.
  14. Enjoy
Notes

For a simple variation, try replacing the sour cream with a layer of cream cheese instead

    I’d recommend baking this taco dip if you have the time.  The layers will heat up more evenly and blend together more this way.
